Boston Harbor Islands : Lovell's Island Beach

Lovell's Island Beach is the only official beach on the Boston Harbor Islands and has a staff of MDC lifeguards. The beach features a beautiful, natural landscape with stunning views of Boston Harbor and the Boston skyline in the background. Water quality is excellent at this outer harbor beach. A new campground is available free of charge, but requires reservations (617-727-7676). Owned and operated by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Access: The beach is accessible via water transportation service from Long Wharf, Boston, Hewitt's Cove in Hingham, or Pemberton Pier in Hull. Call Boston Harbor Cruises at (617) 227-4321 for ferry schedules or visit their website at www.bostonharborcruises.com.
