Dorchester Beaches: Tenean Beach

The new playground at Tenean Beach

Tenean Beach features swimming areas and picnic shelters. The new playground, boardwalk, promenade, and new sand at the northern end of the Beach have made it a success and one of Boston's best-kept secrets. Other recent amenities as a result of the "Back to the Beaches" program include new water fountains, bike racks, shelters and picnic areas. Owned and operated by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Access: There is parking for approximately 150 cars. Accessible by taking the MBTA Red Line to North Quincy and walking over Neponset Boulevard, or Neponset Adams Bus #20 from MBTA Red Line's Fields Corner.
