The
new playground at Tenean Beach |
Tenean Beach features
swimming areas and picnic shelters. The new playground, boardwalk,
promenade, and new sand at the northern end of the Beach have made
it a success and one of Boston's best-kept secrets. Other recent
amenities as a result of the "Back to the Beaches" program
include new water fountains, bike racks, shelters and picnic areas.
Owned and operated by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Access: There is
parking for approximately 150 cars. Accessible by taking the MBTA
Red Line to North Quincy and walking over Neponset Boulevard, or
Neponset Adams Bus #20 from MBTA Red Line's Fields Corner.
