Winthrop Beach

A sunny day at Winthrop Beach

One of the largest sandy beaches in the area, Winthrop Beach is great for swimming, walking, and relaxing. Open year round for passive recreation and enjoyment, lifeguards are on duty during the swimming season.

Access: There is some free street parking. Winthrop Beach is accessible via bus departing from the MBTA Blue Line's Orient Heights Station during the swimming season.
