Yirrell Beach

Collecting shells on Yirrell Beach

Yirrell Beach is a relatively small, popular swimming and sunning beach used primarily by local residents. Recent improvements at this local resource include new sand, new access points, and seawall repairs. Owned by the Town of Winthrop.

Access: Local residents have direct pedestrian access to the beach. Minimal on-street parking is available. Yirrell Beach is also accessible via Point Shirley bus service from the MBTA Blue Line's Orient Heights stop.
