Charles River Conservancy: Founded in 2000, CRC is dedicated to the renewal and stewardship of the Charles River Parklands from the Boston Harbor to the Watertown Dam.

Charles River Watershed Association: Non-profit organization working to make the Charles River fishable and swimmable.

Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands: Non-profit organization working to protect and promote the Boston Harbor Islands. Includes volunteer opportunities and island events.

Friends of Fort Point Channel: This non-profit organization is working to make the Fort Point Channel in Boston’s Seaport District an exciting and welcoming destination for all of Boston’s residents, workforce and visitors.

Gerry E. Studds Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary: The sanctuary is one of 14 sites in a system of ocean & Great Lakes areas designated as having special national significance.

Hull Lifesaving Museum: Non-profit organization working to preserve the region's maritime culture and lifesaving tradition.

Institute of Contemporary Art: The first new art museum built in Boston in nearly 100 years, the ICA showcases contemporary art and unique performances in a stunning building along the waterfront.

Island Alliance: Non-profit organization working to attract investment, support coordinating activities of the private sector, and provide opportunities for greater enjoyment of the Boston Harbor Islands.

John F. Kennedy Library and Museum: Non-profit organization promoting the appreciation of America's cultural and political heritage.

Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (MDC): Massachusetts state agency manages state parklands including Boston Harbor beaches and some Boston Harbor Islands.

Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection: Water, Wastewater, and Wetlands: Information about the current state regulations on water, wastewater, and wetland management.

Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs: Public agency that includes the offices of Coastal Zone Management, Department of Environmental Protection, Massachusetts Geographic Systems, and Massachusetts Environmental Trust.

Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM): Located within the Executive Office of Energy and Environment, CZM balances the impacts of human activity with the protection of coastal and marine resources.

Massachusetts Port Authority: Quasi-public agency responsible for managing cargo and other shipping operations for the Port of Boston.

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority: Agency in charge of providing water and sewer services for the metropolitan Boston area. Responsible for implementing the Boston Harbor Project to restore Boston Harbor by upgrading sewage treatment facilities.

Metropolitan Beaches Commission

Museum of Science: Regional resource for science and technology, education and teacher support, located by the Charles River Locks.

National Park Service: Agency providing tours and information about attractions on Boston Harbor such as the Boston Harbor Islands, Charlestown Navy Yard, and Freedom Trail.

Neponset River Watershed Association: Non-profit organization created to protect and restore the natural resources of the Neponset River Watershed.

New England Aquarium: Resources, connections to other Aquatic Internet Resources, and Virtual Tour of Boston Harbor. Includes information about the Aquarium's Teacher Resources Center.

Piers Park Sailing Center: A non-profit community sailing center and U.S. Sailing Certified Instructional Facility located on the docks of Piers Park in East Boston offering lessons, membership packages, day sails, cruising, racing and specializing in Adaptive Sailing for disabled youth and adults.

Save the Harbor/Save the Bay: a grass roots environmental advocacy group working to protect and promote Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay.

Urban Harbors Institute: Located on the UMass Boston campus, the Urban Harbors Institute provides expert advice and in-depth studies on environmental problems and issues.

USS Constitution and Museum: Includes information and events for the USS Constitution, Charlestown Navy Yard, and USS Cassin Young.
